Interestingly, many people feel the stress of returning to public life following the pandemic, while others seem magically unruffled. How do they do it?

When I am in a stressful situation, I find the answer lies in meditation. Taking just a few minutes daily to center myself into calm and stillness can make a tremendous difference.

Transcendental Meditation has become a game-changer in my life.  It has been in my bag of tricks for a while now. This tool keeps me centered and focused, bringing me inner peace by releasing stored-up stress.

All that stress you encounter every day gets stored up in your physiology. The good news is you don’t need to be a zen-filled sage to practice Transcendental Meditation. If you are alive and breathing, you meet the requirements.

Transcendental Meditation is effective and Incredibly easy to do. That’s how it’s supposed to be.

According to TM.org, “The TM technique uses the natural tendency of the mind to automatically draw your attention inward, through quieter and quieter levels of thought, until you experience your own innermost nature—the most peaceful and silent level of your mind.”

It is not a philosophy, and there is no need for a special diet or lifestyle. You do not have to believe in it to be effective or bring you profound benefits. All it takes is 20 minutes daily dedicated to inner calm and deep peace.

There is a part of your mind that is already calm and peaceful, but most of us never bother to go deep enough into our minds to find it. With Transcendental Meditation, you’ll learn to direct your attention inward and discover that serene space within you.

The best way to learn this technique is to have a certified instructor guide you. As tempting as it may be to search for a tutorial on YouTube, trust me, personalized feedback and direction from a certified instructor are invaluable. The fee is on a sliding scale, and the training is four consecutive days. Each session lasts about an hour to an hour and a half. It is a small price to pay for a lifetime of benefits.
